Northwest Sneaker Expo 10/28 Recap

It's been quite a while since the Northwest saw a DunkXChange or Sneakerpimps, so with that some of the locals took it upon themselves to put something together to shine the light on both the local fashion and music scene. And with that said we were blessed with the 1st annual Northwest Sneaker Expo.

The evening got started with the Sneaker battle featuring a small handful of some of the more respected collectors and customizers in the area. The homie Ronnskizzle pretty much shut the battle down in my opinion with his pair of PE Griffey Max 1s and his "206" of 300 Sole Collector x NikeTown Air Max 95s. But the judging wasn't left up to me and in the end sneaker-customizer extraordinaire Emmanuelabor took the trophy home with his sick customs including a 1 of 1 Jordan IV with a changing LCD screen in the tongue paying homage to MJs shot on Craig Ehlo. Also spotted at the battle were an exclusive pair of Opening Ceremony Air Force 1s which if you are at all sneaker savy in any way you know that those can fetch quite a pretty penny.

After a few questionable rap battles including one with a participant in a wheelchair by the name of Disabled against a dude by the name of Dyslexic (I couldn't make that up if I tried) the performances finally got started. Local Tacoma emcee Clemm Rishad kicked things off. After a couple more performances the host of the night Logics rocked the stage and shut it down. And last but not certainly not least the headliners of the event, Palmdale, CA natives Pacific Division or better know as Pac Div hit the stage and really had things feeling like a party in there. Scroll down for more photos of the event.
