Sole Collector x Nike Air Max Trainer 1

For Zac Dubasik, the latest project between Sole Collector and Nike meant a little more then a cool thing to do. The writer got to help design a special pair of Nike Air Max Trainer 1s taking inspiration from his love of Bo Jackson and the Air Trainer SC II from back when he was a kid.

The special Sole Collector pair of Air Max Trainers sport a Aquamarine and Citron upper with the idea for the colors coming directly from the accents on the original SC II which came in Cement Grey/Aquamarine/Citron seen below in an old school Nike print ad. The one of a kind Trainers also have a small pair of SC IIs stitched on the underside of the tongue. And even though it cant come off like the OG Trainer II the Trainer 1 also features a strap as well.

Like all Sole Collector collabs these were produced in limited quantities but there will be " a handful available to our readers and forum members."

Trainers and Air Maxs have definitely been on my mind a lot more thanks to the shitty work by the designers at Jordan and Nike SB... something about these I really like. Too bad theyre so rare.
