Whata damn shame :/

"San Diego, California - United States Customs and Border Protection marine interdiction agents seized almost half a ton of marijuana Saturday, worth about $566,400, from a private fishing vessel entering San Diego Bay.
At about 6 p.m. on July 18, CBP agents aboard their Midnight Express interceptor boat spotted the 21-foot fishing boat at the entrance to the bay riding suspiciously low in the water. Marine interdiction agents stopped the vessel to question the two persons on board, a 20-year-old female U.S. citizen and a 48-year-old male U.S. citizen, both residents of Phoenix.

A boat stopped entering the San Diego Bay contains 944 pounds of marijuana in its hull.

After hearing inconsistencies in their story, agents brought the boat in for further investigation, including a screening by a CBP narcotics detection dog, which alerted to the boat.

Agents found 221 packages of marijuana, weighing a total of 944 pounds, hidden in the hull of the boat. The packages were sealed underneath the deck with fiberglass.

CBP seized the boat and narcotics, and turned custody of the two accused smugglers over to agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The mission of CBP Air & Marine, the world’s largest aviation and maritime law enforcement organization, is to protect the American people and critical infrastructure through the coordinated use of integrated air and marine forces to detect, interdict and prevent acts of terrorism and the unlawful movement of people, illegal drugs and other contraband."
